When I first met Hari & Sarah at a coffee house in San Luis Obispo, CA, I knew I was going to fall in love with these two amazing people.
The festivities began on Friday morning with the Henna at Cavalli Estates, in San Luis Obispo, California. Family and friends gathered to eat, drink and celebrate. Mark Luna Events set the tone for the day, Henna Me Beautiful showcased intricate Henna artwork, Mantra India Catering supplied delicious snacks, and Photos by Beck captured unforgettable moments.
Once the Henna ended, the guests left the venue to freshen up and returned for the Sangeet. After socializing, we moved everyone into the barn for the celebration and dinner. Hari & Sarah made a Grand Entrance to the energetic tune of “Sadi Gali”, which charged the guests’ energy. Sarah & Hari took a moment to thank their guests and family, followed by several dance performances from Hari’s friends, cousins, and Sarah herself, who beautifully danced for Hari, despite having no Indian background.
Before we sat down to dinner, Richali Shah, from House of Expressions, an Indian dance instructor, taught all the guests Bollywood-style dancing. Everyone enjoyed participating, and the activity helped set the mood for the meal, which was provided by Mantra India Catering.

After dinner, Sarah’s mom gave a toast and then we opened the dance floor. With a playlist of Bollywood, Desi and a few pop hits, this kept the dance floor full all night long.
The next day was their “Western Wedding”. The backdrop for this ceremony was a beautiful man-made lake, and preforming the ceremony was Rick Comstock with A Vow Ceremonies. While Hari & Sarah took some beautiful photos, after the ceremony with Becca and her team, the guests enjoyed cocktails.
Once the reception was ready to begin, we invited guests into the barn to take their seats for dinner. After a Grand Entrance and short thank you speech from Hari & Sarah, they took to the dance floor for their special, choreographed first dance to the song “Die With A Smile”. Next, as a surprise for Hari, Sarah sang a song accompanied by a close friend playing the guitar. But Sarah wasn’t done yet. Because most of Hari’s family couldn’t make the trip from India, Sarah put together a video presentation featuring Hari’s parents and close family, wishing them congratulations and best wishes. It was a very emotional time for Hari.

Oak Pit Catering provided a wonderful BBQ dinner for everyone. Once that was done, the dance floor was opened. This time we stuck to a lot of today’s hits and some favorites from the past. A great time was had by all.

This was an Indian fusion type wedding. Mixing two different cultures and bringing it all together. A special thanks to our amazing team of vendors, who made this day extra special for Hari & Sarah.
